SCRANTON, Pa. — A walk to remember loved ones was held in part of Lackawanna County this weekend.
More than 600 people participated in the 7th annual Hospice of the Sacred Heart Remembrance Walk around McDade Park Saturday morning.
Organizers say the one-mile walk helps to connect families and honor the memories of lost loved ones.
"I just feel good because they're doing the remembrance thing, and to bring your loved one into your mind is the way you stay connected to them until you meet them later on," said Frank Bucci Jr., Chairman of Hospice of the Sacred Heart Board.
Proceeds from the walk will help support programs and services at Hospice of the Sacred Heart.
