CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. — A lucky lottery player hit the jackpot with a Powerball with Double Play ticket sold in Lackawanna County.

The ticket matched five of the five Double Play balls drawn—5, 38, 39, 41, 69, but not the Double Play Powerball number 25—to win $500,000.

Tobacco King on Northern Boulevard near Clarks Summit gets a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The same store sold a $1.24 million winner in 2022.

Double Play is an optional feature that, for an additional $1 per play, gives players another chance to win with their Powerball numbers in a separate drawing with a top cash prize of $10 million. The Double Play drawing is held after every Powerball drawing.
