Free pop-up clinic in Scranton, and it needs volunteers

The clinic will be open on Sunday at Scranton High School and will deliver free dental, vision, and medical care.

SCRANTON, Pa. — A pop-up medical clinic has been set up at Scranton High School for the weekend of August 3 and August 4. The clinic will deliver free dental, vision, and medical care to those in need.

Remote Area Medical, or RAM, is a major nonprofit provider of these pop-up clinics. This clinic is in collaboration with the Indo-American Community of Scranton.

Services available include dental cleanings, dental fillings, dental extractions, dental X-rays, eye exams, eye health exams, eyeglass prescriptions, eyeglasses made on-site, women's health exams, and general medical exams. Student physicals will also be available at this clinic.

All RAM services are free, and no ID is required. Services will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Sunday's clinic operations will be an abbreviated day, so patients are advised to arrive as early as possible. The clinic doors will open at 6:00 a.m. Due to time constraints, patients should be prepared to choose between dental and vision services.

Volunteers are needed for Sunday's clinic.
