NORTH ABINGTON TOWNSHIP -- The new pool at Lackawanna State Park is open again and anxious swimmers were lined up to get inside on this Memorial Day.
The pool was dedicated less than a week ago and opened Saturday. It had to be closed Sunday, however, after someone defecated in the pool.
The clean-up required super-chlorination, a process that took more than 24 hours.
The move left people disappointed Sunday, when the temperature was near 90 degrees, but the pool reopened Monday for swimmers to enjoy.
