SCRANTON, Pa. — Pennsylvania American Water plans to replace a mile of water mains along North Main Avenue in Scranton next year.
The $4 million project involves installing 20-and 24-inch iron pipes to replace 6- and 16-inch lines from Parker Street to Viewmont Drive.
Crews will work weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Traffic restrictions along the busy stretch of the street will be in place during construction.
Pennsylvania American Water expects to complete the water main installation in the spring of 2024, with final restoration and paving set for late 2024.
