Pet portraits event honors Lackawanna County man by raising money for animal shelter

Loyalty Barbershop in Archbald held a pet portrait event Sunday in memory of its owner, Brian Nardella.

ARCHBALD, Pa. — A barber shop in Lackawanna County held an event in memory of its owner while raising money for a cause he held dear.

Brian Nardella, the owner of Loyalty Barbershop in Archbald, was killed in a crash back in March.

On Sunday, the shop held a pet portraits event where folks could come and get professional portraits taken with their furry friends.

There were also adoptable dogs at the event.

Brian's wife says he always loved animals, and this is a great way to honor and remember him.

"He just was so loving and so generous in the community, especially with animals in need. So I know that he's looking down, and he's proud of us for doing this," said Lynne Nardella, Brian Nardella's wife.

All proceeds from the event will go to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter in Lackawanna County.
