'Peace' of pizza benefits cheerleaders

A restaurant in Lackawanna County was promoting peace, one pizza at a time Thursday.

A pizza shop in Lackawanna County is celebrating International Day of Peace.

Colarusso's Coal Fired Pizza in Dickson City has pizzas with pepperoni in the shape of a peace sign.

The restaurant partnered with Our Lady of Peace Cheer Team near Clarks Summit.

Proceeds from the peace sign pizza sale go towards the Saint Francis of Assisi Kitchen- which helps families in need, and the cheer team.

"So today, we're doing a pizza fundraiser so that their cheer team could get more money in their account for anything from new pom-poms, new uniforms." said Karen Gilchrist., Cheer Mom.

The sale wrapped up at 9pm Thursday.
