SCRANTON, Pa. — A fur-friendly event took over a park in Lackawanna County all for a good cause.
Griffin Pond Animal Shelter's annual Paws in the Park event brought dozens of folks and their pets out to McDade Park Sunday afternoon.
There were local vendors, food trucks, raffles, and even kiddie pools to cool off the pet visitors.
The event wouldn't have been complete, however, without showing off some adorable adoptable pets.
"We're an animal shelter, we're a non-profit 501C-3, and also for our animals to get noticed and hopefully get adopted, and it helps with the fundraising, the costs that we do at the shelter," said Sherry Crolly, Griffin Pond Animal Shelter.
Proceeds from the event benefitted Griffin Pond Animal Shelter.
