OLYPHANT, Pa. — K-9 King is a police dog for the Olyphant Police Department.
He's trained for to search for people, drugs and can be used to apprehend suspects.
On Saturday night, the Olyphant Hose Company #2 hosted a pasta dinner to raise money for King's national certification training.
"These dogs are a great help. They handle things a lot faster than we do, and we don't have to roll around with them. It's easier on the officers, and we don't get hurt as easily," said Chief James Devoe, Olyphant Police Department.
K9 King has been with the Olyphant Police Department since 2020.
