SCRANTON, Pa. — Palm Sunday marks the beginning of holy week for many Christians, and a special mass took place at Saint Peter's Cathedral in Scranton.
Many of the faithful attended the service and received palms, which is a reference to the bible, where people welcomed Jesus by laying down their cloaks and waving palm branches.
Bishop Joseph Bambera led the liturgy.
Easter Sunday is one week away, April 9th.
