One dead after shooting in Old Forge

Police responded to the Diamond Club in Old Forge around 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

OLD FORGE, Pa. — One man is dead after an early-morning shooting in Lackawanna County.

Police responded to the Diamond Club along North Keyser Avenue in Old Forge around 3:30 a.m. Sunday for reports of gunfire.

When police arrived, they found Khayree Abdurruzzaq, 34, of Plymouth, with a single gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

Abdurruzzaq's death has been ruled a homicide.

The deadly shooting remains under investigation by state police.

A woman was hit by gunfire in the parking lot of the club in the early morning hours of New Year's Day. A man was arrested for that shooting in February.
