LACKAWANNA COUNTY, Pa. — Motorcycle riders gathered in part of Lackawanna County on Sunday to remember a friend who passed away.
Alex Petrovich, 23, of Eynon, was killed in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 81 North in Moosic back in July of 2023.
To honor Petrovich's memory, dozens came together to ride from Dickson City to Scranton.
Organizers say Petrovich would be happy to see all the people who showed up.
"It's amazing. I know his family loves to see this. This is a great way to remember him and to show support because that was a big thing. He loved just showing support, and he wanted all of his guys to just show up for him. I know he mentioned if anything ever happened, he'd want all of his buddies to show up, and that's what we're here to do for him," said Jonathan Combs, ride organizer.
There was also candle lighting following the motorcycle ride in Lackawanna County.
