LACKAWANNA COUNTY, Pa. — The non-profit Wishing, which stands for Women in Sports Helping Inspire the Next Generation, held an information session for high school juniors and seniors Thursday night at PNC Field.

The organization was created to promote women in sports and mentor students about sports careers.

"No matter what background, whether it's sports, business, STEM, ya know, it's important to have diverse points of view, and I think sports shouldn't be excluded from that conversation," said Cam Wein, Co-Events Coordinator at WISHING Leadership Team.

The students attending Thursday night's discussion were able to network with representatives from a number of organizations, including the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders.
