MOOSIC --  Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders season ticket holders mingled in the home clubhouse of PNC field in Moosic while Yankees star first baseman Mark Teixeira  signed autographs for kids.

The new owners of the minor league ball club promise this is something fans will see more of in 2015.
"The goal from an organizational standpoint is to send as many people our way as possible, so there are going to be great things from our parent club," said Grant Cagle, owner.

Among the new owners, Grant Cagle boasts a close relationship with New York Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman and he says the big club in the Bronx plans to work hand-in-hand with it's top farm team.
Cagle says fans will notice more star prospects coming through Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on their way to New York, and more big league players coming here when they're returning  from injury.
The Yankees own 50 percent of the Railriders. These investors combine to own the other half.
Among the new owners, some prominent members of the area's business community including Times Shamrock CEO Matt Haggerty and oil company president Bob Mills.

"PNC Field is the number one ballpark in the country for minor league baseball, and its just exciting. I'm an avid sports fan and look forward to it...This is fun!" said Bob Mills, Petrochoice president.

With Teixeira entertaining fans at this meet-and-greet, the new owners announced plans for a Yankees legend game at PNC Field in June.
It may seem like a long way from the dead of winter, but Grant Cagle who's orginally from Atlanta tells us he's counting the days until his first summer at the ballpark in Moosic.
"Love the area, the first time we came here was June of last year, and we were sold from day one," said Cagle.
