LACKAWANNA COUNTY, Pa. — A Scranton man will spend at least 20 years behind bars after stabbing a woman at the Viewmont Mall.
Officials say Kevin McDermott nearly killed an employee of an eyebrow threading kiosk in August 2022 by stabbing her in the neck.
It's still not clear why McDermott stabbed her.
He pleaded guilty to attempted homicide and was sentenced today in Lackawanna County.
