SCRANTON, Pa. — A high-speed chase through two counties kept police busy Wednesday night.
The chase started late Wednesday in Wilkes-Barre and ended early Thursday morning in Scranton after officials received information that a man was traveling to reportedly shoot up a home.
Officials followed the suspect, later identified as Steven Brannigan, 33. Brannigan attempted a traffic stop and then stopped at Mulberry Street and North Irving Avenue, where he fled on foot.
Police tell Newswatch 16 they found Brannigan hiding in a tree outside a home on Schultz Court.
Brannigan is charged with receiving stolen property, fleeing and eluding, terroristic threats, and harassment. He is locked up in the Lackawanna County Prison.
