Man charged after gunfire, standoff in Scranton

Raymond Beck faces aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and several other charges after police say he fired shots at a home in Scranton early Sunday morning.

SCRANTON, Pa. — A man has been charged after police say he fired several shots overnight in Lackawanna County.

Police say Raymond Beck, 39, fired a gun at someone inside a home along Regan Place in Scranton around 3 a.m. Sunday and then fled the scene.

Beck then fired several more shots before barricading himself in a nearby building, according to investigators.

He was taken into custody just before 6 a.m. No one was hurt.

Beck faces several charges, including aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and theft in Scranton.
