BLAKELY — A man is accused of assaulting a police officer in Lackawanna County.
Police responded to a home on Hickory Street in Blakely around 6 a.m. Saturday for a domestic disturbance.
Investigators said David Evans, 48, of Blakely shoved an officer and when police attempted to handcuff Evans, he punched the officer in the neck.
Police were able to subdue Evans and placed him under arrest.
He’s charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness.
