LA PLUME, Pa. — School kids and college students shared Friday field day fun in Lackawanna County.
Keystone College Student Government students hosted Lackawanna Trail kids in grades 4 through 6 at the college's football field.
The students participated in a variety of fun events, including relay races, duck-duck-goose and tug-of-war.
"It's really great because we have to sit a lot inside, and we just get to be outside, and it's really nice," said Delany Dwyer, a 6th grader at Lackawanna Trail.
"I think this is definitely an impactful event," said Makayla Sigafoos, a junior at Keystone. "I remember all the field days we had at my school, so I'm just imagining getting to come up to a college with all the college kids and how fun that might be, and I think it'll be really memorable for them."
Keystone students say this is one way to give back to the community.
Keystone College spans La Plume in Lackawanna County and Factoryville in Wyoming County.
