Man charged with making explosives sentenced in Lackawanna County

James Sacchetti was taken into police custody after he came out of his apartment with his skin hanging from his hands.

JERMYN, Pa. — A man accused of making explosives in his home has been sentenced.

James Sacchetti of Jermyn received a two-year sentence, starting with three months on house arrest.

He was taken into police custody in May after he came out of his apartment on Henry Drive with his skin hanging from his hands.

Sacchetti pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment charges in September.
