SCRANTON, Pa. — A man was arrested in Lackawanna County early Thursday morning after stabbing a woman multiple times.
Police were called for a domestic dispute and a report that a woman was stabbed multiple times in the block of Cedar Avenue around 1:22 a.m. When police arrived, they found a woman in the street with multiple stab wounds. The victim's son disarmed the man who stabbed her and told officials he was inside the residence.
Officials found Armando Montano, 32, on the back porch waving a knife. After resisting arrest, Montano was arrested.
The victim is in the hospital in critical condition. Her identity has not been revealed.
Montano faces charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and resisting arrest.
