SCRANTON -- It was a great day for fishing Saturday and about 100 kids took the opportunity on the banks of the Lackawanna River in Scranton.
It was the ninth annual Paul Kelly Memorial Fishing Derby.
Organizers stocked the river Friday night.
Certain fish were tagged and could earn the kids who caught them a cash prize, including a $1,000 fish.
There’s no word if that big winner was caught yet.
