OLD FORGE, Pa. — Firefighters were kicking for a special cause this Christmas season.
A special kickball tournament featuring different fire departments took place Saturday in Lackawanna County.
The 'Kickin' for Kids' tournament included teams made up of fire departments in and around Old Forge.
Those who participated said it was a fun way to get to know each other.
"We talked about this because we see each other at fire scenes, car accidents different calls, so when we do see each other it is for an incident. So this is where we can have a good time and play against each other; the guys are laughing and having a good time," said Chris Collins, Avoca Fire Department Captain.
Those who participated in the tournament each brought a toy to donate to Toys for Tots in Lackawanna County.
