SCRANTON, Pa. — The Scranton's Jazz Festival kept up the rhythm heading into day two of the yearly musical event in the city's downtown.
The day started with a performance from the Bob Valdez Latin Jazz Trio. The hot and humid weather didn't stop music lovers from huddling under a tent on Courthouse Square to see the show.
"They're different; we have blues, we have jazz, we have funk, Dixie Land type of music, all the different forms of the music come together, and Downtown Scranton is just hopping," said Michael Kuehn, a volunteer.
The Jazz Festival concludes on Sunday with a performance at the Ritz Theater by SJF Big Band and guest saxophonist Joe Lovano.
