SCRANTON -- Colder weather isn't stopping one farmers market in Scranton.
An indoor winter farmers market is being held on Saturdays in the community building at the Cedar Point Apartments in the 500 block of Cedar Avenue.
The South Side Farmers Market is run by the United Neighborhood Centers.
Vendors who participate in farmers markets during the summer wanted to provide the same service during the colder months.
The market started in early November and runs on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Organizers tell us they plan to run until May.
This is the first year for the indoor market in Scranton.
