SCRANTON -- An elderly man woke up to a burning home in Scranton.
The place on Merrifield Avenue went up around 6 a.m. on Thursday.
Authorities say the man inside was asleep, but the smoke alarm woke him up.
He got out okay.
The cause of the fire is under investigation here in Scranton.
