Home condemned after fire in Scranton

Flames broke out around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday along Stephen Avenue.

SCRANTON, Pa. — A home is condemned after a fire in Lackawanna County.

Flames broke out around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday along Stephen Avenue in Scranton.

Two people were inside at the time of the fire; both made it out okay. Several cats were also inside the home, but they were all taken out safely.

The cause of the fire is under investigation in Scranton.
