DUNMORE -- Pennsylvania's primary election is on Tuesday and the candidates are crisscrossing the Keystone State. Hillary Clinton stopped in Dunmore.

“Wow, it is so great to be back in northeastern Pennsylvania, to be here in Dunmore!”

That was Hillary Clinton as she addressed the enthusiastic crowd at Dunmore High School Friday night, as folks packed into the gymnasium, ready to welcome Clinton back home.

The democratic presidential hopeful stumped in the community that neighbors her father hometown of Scranton and Clinton didn’t waste time before diving into her deep roots here.

“I’ve got my two brothers here, they're coming back, and of course, they go every summer to Lake Winola, to the cottage that my grandfather built,” said Clinton.

“I'm so glad she's able to come into our area. Of course, she has so many family members here, it's just wonderful to see her. It's like welcoming a hometown girl,” said Mary Jean Morgan from Dunmore.

With Pennsylvania’s primary election on Tuesday, Clinton came here to rally the troops and when she delivered her key campaign points, she didn’t disappoint.

“So I am going to fight to raise minimum wage at the national level and I’m also going to do everything I can to guarantee equal pay for women’s work,” said Clinton.

“The impact on social issues, with gender and wage gap, everything, racial issues, income equality, just everything that she’s handling in today’s society,” said Emily Jonson from Clarks Summit.

“She’s our best candidate, she’s out best chance for the White House,” said Joyce Morgan from Bushkill.

“I think she’s going to bring strength and integrity to the office and I think she’s tough and I think it’s time for her,” said Melanie Johnson from Bethlehem.

“Let’s go out and please vote on Tuesday in the primary, thank you all so much,” said Clinton as she wrapped up her speech around 9 p.m. Friday after speaking for roughly a half hour.
