WILKES-BARRE -- Lawyers for former Lackawanna County Commissioner Bob Cordaro were in federal court in Wilkes-Barre Thursday morning, asking a judge for a new trial.
Cordaro was convicted on corruption charges in 2011 and his lawyers claim it wasn't a fair trial.
Cordaro was not in the courtroom but was on the phone from the federal prison at Fort Dix, NJ.
The judge is expected to make a decision on a possible new trial sometime soon.
