LACKAWANNA COUNTY, Pa. — For the third year in a row, VFW Post 5207 in Covington Township is selling food for Go Joe's.
They are selling burgers, hot dogs, potato salad, and more along with hats and t-shirts.
Organizers say the VFW is here to help the community, and St. Joe's is a part of that.
"The VFW, in general, is here to help veterans; they're here for veterans' families and to help the community. So, St Joe's is a community organization that we have no problem helping the special needs children and adults that are down there, and everything we can do to help them, we will help," said Bill Lamond, John J Michael's VFW Post 5207.
The event continues from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in Lackawanna County.
