Giant store in Scranton preparing to reopen

A fire two weeks ago forced the supermarket to close.

SCRANTON, Pa. — A grocery store in Scranton is getting ready to reopen two weeks after a fire shut the place down.

On May 20, a pressure washer sparked a roof insulation fire inside the Giant along Nay Aug Avenue.

The store will reopen on Friday, June 7, with its regular hours of 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.

The free COLTS transportation provided by the company will end at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 6.
