DUNMORE, Pa. — An alleged member of a local Crips subset has been arrested for taking part in a stick-up attempt last week at a Lackawanna County apartment complex.
Victims of Thursday's armed robbery attempt at The Commons in Dunmore recognized one of the conspirators as Blake Masker, a former Penn State Scranton student who attended class with one of the victims, according to a criminal complaint.
Masker is facing charges for allegedly conspiring with three other suspects to rob people at one the apartments there shortly after 6 p.m.
The identities of the others allegedly involved in the heist attempt were unknown.
Masker and the group of accused robbers met with the victims earlier in the day and left the building.
The group returned later and tried to rob the victims at gunpoint. Masker, according to the charges, stayed in his vehicle to the other conspirators to and from the scene.
Masker is in the Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is tentatively set for March 12.
