Fringe Festival preview held at Pocket Park in Scranton

One festival held a preview celebration in Lackawanna County on Friday.

SCRANTON, Pa. — A sneak peek of Fringe Festival took place in Scranton on Friday.

The preview was part of the Pocket Park Live Series, a collaboration of the city's Arts Committee and Scranton Tomorrow.

Music of live performances filled Christopher A. Doherty Park along Wyoming Avenue and Linden Street.

"It's tremendously important, not just for the well-being and the cultural vitality of a city, but for its economy. We populate so many venues small businesses, we generate a lot of revenue for the area thanks to a lot of wonderful partners. And so we're super excited to be here giving people a little preview before the festival happens later this month," said Conor Kelly O'Brien, Scranton Fringe Festival.

Fringe Fest runs from September 26th to October 6th in downtown Scranton.
