SCRANTON, Pa. — A special guest stopping in Lackawanna County for the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick of Lackawanna County's 118th Annual Dinner.
Former President Bill Clinton was the keynote speaker at the event at the Scranton Cultural Center.
The organization, created to remind generations of Irish Americans in Lackawanna County of their heritage, invited Clinton because of his involvement in bringing peace to Northern Ireland during his time as president.
"We all have a great deal to be grateful for and those of us who care about what happened in Ireland have an enormous amount to be grateful for and also to learn from," said Clinton.
Clinton was joined by Governor Josh Shapiro and other area lawmakers at the annual dinner in Lackawanna County.
