PENNSYLVANIA, USA — People who dealt with last September's flooding in Lackawanna, Luzerne, and Wyoming counties are now getting some help from state and federal authorities.

The Natural Resources Conservation Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture has allocated $879,000 to cover 75% of the costs to repair nine sites that suffered severe damage in those three counties.

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection will cover the remaining 25% of about $293,000.

Construction to repair the damage is set to begin this spring.
