Flag day ceremony held at nonprofit in Scranton

Veterans with the Lackawanna County Treatment Court held a Flag Day ceremony on Friday.

SCRANTON, Pa. — Veterans with the Lackawanna County Treatment Court held a Flag Day ceremony on Friday.

People gathered at the Recovery Bank on Wyoming Avenue in Scranton. The Recovery Bank is a non-profit dedicated to giving the people of Lackawanna County, especially veterans, a second chance.

"We so much are grateful for their service; you know, every chance we get to thank them, we try. And to commemorate the flag, a symbol of our unity and strength, is really important, maybe now more than ever," said Frank Bolock, Executive Director of Recovery Bank.

The weather moved the ceremony from the roof to inside the Recovery Bank.
