LACKAWANNA COUNTY, Pa. — Firefighters from four departments in Lackawanna County participated in a fundraiser on Sunday afternoon as part of the Clarks Summit Festival of Ice.
Clarks Summit, Chinchilla, Dalton, and Newton-Ransom fire companies took on the challenge of carving a dinosaur-themed work of art out of giant blocks of ice.
The designs featured dinosaurs coming out of eggs, the gates to Jurassic Park, and a T-rex.
Stormtracker 16 meteorologist Jeremy Lewan and Newswatch 16's Chelsea Strub were happy to emcee the competition.
Newton-Ransom took home the most votes and the most money for the fire department in Lackawanna County.
