LACKAWANNA COUNTY, Pa. — Fire destroyed a barn in Lackawanna County on Sunday.
Flames broke out at the place along Bald Mountain Road in Ransom Township near Clarks Summit just before 3 p.m.
Crews from Newton Township, South Abington Township, Dalton, Clarks Summit, Scott Township, and Lake Winola responded to help put out the flames.
Officials say the owner of the barn was checked out for breathing in too much smoke and is expected to be okay.
No other injuries were reported.
Officials say the barn was used to store farm equipment and hay. It is a total loss.
Crews remained on scene for hours extinguishing hot spots.
A Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal will investigate the cause of the blaze in Lackawanna County.
