Fire damages building in Scranton

Flames broke out shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday night along Wyoming Avenue in the city.

SCRANTON, Pa. — Fire damaged a vacant building in Lackawanna County.

Flames broke out shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday along Wyoming Avenue in the city.

When crews arrived, they found fire in the basement of the building.

Crews were able to quickly extinguish the flames.

No injuries have been reported.

Wyoming Avenue was closed at Pine Street as crews worked to ventilate the building.

There is no word yet on what caused the fire in Scranton.
