SCRANTON, Pa. — Back in November, Pennsylvania American Water filed a request with the Public Utility Commission.
The company asked for permission to raise residential bills by 25 percent.
On average, customers would pay $17 more per month.
There are two opportunities on Tuesday for people to make their cases against the increases.
The PUC is holding two public hearings at the Scranton Cultural Center.
The first goes from 1 to 3 p.m. The later session runs from 6 to 8 p.m. in Scranton.
