SCRANTON, Pa. — Jolly Ole' Saint Nicholas is kickstarting the festive magic this holiday season in downtown Scranton.
Folks celebrated a timeless tradition Saturday morning with the annual Scranton Santa Parade.
Starting in 1993, visitors get to see Santa, of course, plus many other North Pole characters alongside dancers and bands.
"It's wonderful to be a part of this in downtown Scranton and just appreciate the community and everything WNEP does. The Santa Parade organizes this all year, and it's a wonderful day," said Sister Maryalice Jacquinot, Saint Joseph's Center & Grand Marshal.
Parade-goers started at the corner of Biden Street and Franklin Avenue and made their way to Courthouse Square in downtown Scranton.
