OLD FORGE, Pa. — It's a celebration of Italian culture in part of Lackawanna County.
The 35th annual Felittese Festival kicked off Friday afternoon on Third Street in Old Forge.
Organizers say the festival is bringing more than a celebration to the borough.
“And joining us this year are nine delegates that are over here from Felitto, Italy, and they're as excited about it as we are. And it's party time in Old Forge celebrating this," said Jeff Casella, Felittese Association.
The festival continues throughout the weekend. A special dedication of Felitto, Italy, and Old Forge, PA, as Sister Cities is planned for 6 p.m. Saturday.
