DUNMORE, Pa. — It's a winter wonderland not at the North Pole but in the borough of Dunmore.
"Looks amazing. First of all, like everyone in the actually like did their best job, including ours too, but I see people who can create like crazy stuff in like couple stores," said student Brince Denucci.
He is one of the many Dunmore High School Seniors who took the day to decorate downtown.
"Instead of like doing this instead. So this is a better um technique I use when it creates when I create like a texture," said Denucci. "When it comes to this kind of event, I, I usually take it seriously. I try my best and stuff."
Filling storefronts with new spins on holiday classics.
"It's really fun for them. They get to choose what they want to paint, and then they work on their windows all day, and then it's fun for them to drive by and see it and show their friends and family," said Dunmore High School art teacher Cristin Hogan.
She says the painting of Dunmore Corners has been going on for around a decade.
For the last few years, it's been addition to the borough's holiday celebration Christmas in the Corners.
"They know when they come here like you can see her sketch of the deer right there. That way, she knows, you know, exactly what she's doing, and she's ready to get started," said Hogan.
"I like, I just like doing animals, so what I'd have to say, like just getting being able to draw like the animal and stuff like that," said Senior Holly Tosto, who took on one of the largest paintings.
It's another way for her and fellow classmates to connect with their community.
"I feel like the school district is a big part of the Dunmore community, so it's to have all the kids come up and do paintings like this. I feel like it's more inclusive," Tosto.
Dunmore's Christmas in the Corners celebration is set for December 8th.
