State police fire marshals say deadly Lackawanna County fire is not suspicious

The cause of Saturday's fire in Dickson City still remained under investigation

DICKSON CITY, Pa. — State police fire marshals said a deadly fire from over the weekend in Lackawanna County is not considered suspicious.

Charles Nattras, 76, was found dead outside of a garage at Pancoast and Bank Streets in Dickson City on Saturday. He died from a “cardiovascular event” suffered during the fire, Lackawanna County Coroner Tim Rowland said.

Trooper Nick DeSantis, a state police fire marshal investigating the blaze, said the cause of the fire remained under investigation Monday. However, investigators do not suspect it was intentionally started.
