Customers get another chance to pick up clothing from Spotless Cleaners

The business closed back in October of 2018. Many customers did not get their clothing back.

SCRANTON, Pa. — People who have been waiting to get their dry cleaning for more than a year, had a chance Saturday to get their clothes back.

The former Spotless Cleaners on Moosic Street in Scranton was open from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. so customers could come get their belongings.

Spotless Cleaners closed all of its locations in October of 2018.

Those who picked up items did not have to pay any fees.

Fidelity Bank spearheaded the retrieval day. The materials left at the cleaners became property of the bank just a few weeks ago.

There are a number of materials still left at the actual location of the cleaners.

People may call Fidelity Bank at 1-800-388-4380. You’re encouraged to leave your name so Fidelity can contact you to pick up your items during a second retrieval event down the road.

Please note: the clothing articles are not at Fidelity Bank. The bank has to make special accommodations to get back into Spotless Cleaners to distribute the materials.

Fidelity Bank plans to announce the second retrieval date on its social media pages in the weeks to come.
