SCRANTON, Pa. — Thanksgiving might be more than a week away, but the season is rolling right along for one group of cyclists in Lackawanna County.
They peddled along with the Anthracite Bicycle Coalition Saturday morning at Groove Brewing in Scranton as part of a food drive for the holiday.
They hopped on their bikes and pedaled their way to grocery stores to stock up on non-perishables. Called 'Cranksgiving,' this year's food drive will support area teens at the NEPA Youth Shelter.
"It's a great cause; it's a lot of fun. It's nice to get to meet a lot of new people that have a common interest and so forth, and to get out with friends on a not-so-cold day and do something good for the community," said Terry Sweeney, cyclist.
Around 50 cyclists took part in this food drive in Scranton.
