SOUTH ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Clarks Summit University has announced it is temporarily furloughing all employees.
In a statement on the website, university president James Lytle says the school is facing financial difficulties.
The full administration—president and cabinet members—committed to volunteer at CSU without pay during this temporary furlough.
Lytle says they are still planning a 2024-25 school year, noting that future enrollment is growing, especially for online graduate and seminary students.
The release does not indicate how long furloughs will last for university workers.
Keystone College, in Lackawanna and Wyoming Counties, is also dealing with financial issues.
