DICKSON CITY, Pa. — The Spoon at the Moon annual chili cook-off and charity auction was held at Moon Tavern in Dickson City on Saturday afternoon.
The event helps raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
About a dozen cooks showed off their skills, trying to prove they make the best chili in NEPA.
The organizer held the event in memory of her great-grandfather, who passed away from leukemia in 2008.
"It is by far one of my favorite events that we hold, and it's always great to see everyone come out. I wanna bring a difference and kinda have people more aware of what cancer is and how to help solve a cure," said Laynie Buli, organizer.
Newswatch 16's Jack Culkin was a judge at this event. He had the tough task of tasting all of the chili in Lackawanna County.
