SCRANTON, Pa. — A mother in Scranton has been charged with abusing and endangering the welfare of her kids.
A six-year-old child informed authorities that his mother, 39-year-old Brandi Sergi, hits him and his younger siblings with a bat because “they are bad,” according to Scranton Police.
During an examination, a 5-year-old sibling was found to be covered in bruises, then revealed the mother caused the injuries.
Authorities later arrested Sergi and condemned the residence the family lived in on Moltke Avenue on East Mountain due to uninhabitable conditions.
