SCRANTON, Pa. — A time for sharing, learning, and fellowship was the goal of a refugee celebration in Scranton Saturday afternoon.
Dozens of people gathered at Nay Aug Park to learn more about refugees living in the area.
World Refugee Day is an international day designated by the United Nations to honor those forced to leave their homes to escape conflict.
This year's refugee day was Thursday the theme this year is "A World Where Refugees Are Always Welcomed."
